Tweet - KG called me a cancer sufferer, says Charlie Villanueva

Kevin Garnett is one of those NBA players who brings extra fire to his game, even verbal fire. He is arguably the current poster child for trash talking within the NBA. Yet such a thing can go too far, indicates ESPN. During a recent blowout of the Detroit Pistons, the Celtics vocal leader went past the bounds of good taste. Within the tweeted words of Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva, "KG called me a cancer patient," evidently in reference to Villanueva’s complete insufficient hair. The Pistons say that it had been indeed Villanueva who tweeted this data, however that is all they are willing to say right now.

More like Charlie Villanueva that are bald and within the NBA

Kevin Garnett shaves his head like numerous other NBA players, but Charlie Villanueva’s follicle challenged condition is different. The condition of alopecia universalis which ends in hair loss is what Villanueva has. Both him and Kevin Garnett have no hair on their heads. Garnett doesn't care if people make cancer references. Charlie Villanueva does though.

"I’m pissed because, u know how lots of people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it is a joke,” Villanueva said. This was on Twitter. “I wouldn’t even trip about that, but a cancer patient; I know way 2 lots of people who passed away from it."

Charlie Villanueva continues

Charlie Villanueva wasn't able to let go of the comments from Garnett despite the fact that there had been a 23-point win the Pistons had over the Celtics. In fact, Villanueva’s further tweets suggest that the exchange can result in blows. That’s something that will no doubt lead the Pistons and the NBA to intervene with a potential fine or other disciplinary measure, although neither the team nor the league have commented on the matter yet.

What alopecia universalis is

Wikipedia explains that Alopecia universalis, also known as alopecia, has rapid hair loss as part of it being a rare autoimmune disorder. There is a further disease called alopecia areata. Eyebrows and eyelashes are lost at this stage. There isn't any treatment for alopecia which can start showing up at any age. Alopecia universalis is something 1 in 100,000 people have. Charlie Villanueva happens to be one of these. There are others who had the disease. Cousin to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Edith Bouvier Beale, had it. CIA operative David Ferrie who was a Civil Air Patrol colleague with Lee Harvey Oswald and also served through the Cuban missile crisis had it. Also, John D. Rockefeller who had been a Standard Oil magnate had it.
