The government of Cuba has issued a severe rebuke of the "Call of Duty – Black Ops" video game, over the addition of Fidel Castro. The beginning level of the video game is a try to assassinate Castro through the Cuban Revolution. The govt of Cuba blasted the game as stimulating psychopathic tendencies. The video game had been also criticized as being a digital representation of what the United States of America had tried to do for decades.
Arguments coming as a result of mission by Fidel Castro
Activision came out with "Call of Duty – Black Ops” where there is a Special Operations Group behind enemy lines that the players in the regular game mode go on missions in the Cold War era. There are numerous flashbacks going on for the missions. Anywhere between Cuba and Vietnam there could be a mission. The Bay of Pigs invasion is the first where the mission is to assassinate Fidel Castro. The Cuban government is mad about the video game despite the fact that it is one of the most successful of all time, Reuters reports. The game "stimulates sociopathic attitudes" among young adults. This is what the Cuban government thinks. There is one more reason why Cuban officials are upset. They say the game is just too virtually doing what the U.S. "did not achieve in more than 50 years" of trying.
Also seeing Castro in hidden level
Kotaku explains that "Black Ops" zombies are an option in the multiplayer mode where the legions of the undead are battled by players. Available characters are John F. Kennedy, Robert S. McNamara, Richard Nixon, and Fidel Castro. The level with Fidel Castro in it in the "Black Ops" multiplayer wasn't mentioned. Apparently Cuba didn't find it necessary. The Cuban government is offended. It is a valid offense too.
Family Jewels had been mentioned
In 2007, the Central Intelligence Agency released documents, in a large report titled “Family Jewels.”. It included tries to assassinate Fidel Castro, by various methods. The U.S. government contracted with organized crime, and made tries using everything from trying to poison Castro’s wetsuit to slipping him an exploding cigar. Cuba is still pretty soar about things even if "Call of Duty – Black Ops" is just a video game.
