Although Brett Favre didn't deliver a victory for the Super Bowl to Minnesota, his daughter Brittany Favre, was able to deliver something better: a baby boy. A new life is always precious, and the birth of Parker Brett adds a precious new accolade to the career of Brett Favre. Assuming he returns to play for the 2010 NFL season, Brett Favre could be the first grandfather ever to lace up spikes in the NFL, according to various resources. George Blanda might have actually been the first active NFL grandfather, but that achievement is disputed.
21 in 2010, Brittany Favre is a proud mama
But Brett Favre guards the level of privacy of his family closely, so the media at large has yet to obtain Brittany Favre’s official reaction. Brett Favre’s daughter cedes the limelight to daddy Brett Favre, who made the following statement to the media (See source below) with regards to Brittany Favre and her son Parker Brett:
“Deanna and I are very proud to welcome our grandchild Parker Brett to the Favre family. Parker Brett was born on Friday, April 2, weighing 7 lb. 7 oz., and we’re pleased to say that both (sic) Mom, Dad and Parker Brett are healthy and doing great.”
Best wishes to the family and to Brittany Favre
Even though Brittany Favre’s father (and Parker’s grandfather) Brett Favre may annoy some fans with his constant retirement talk, there isn't much doubt whether or not the grandfather quarterback can still play. Some wonder if he would play long enough to be alongside Parker Brett, but that seems nearly impossible. Brett is nevertheless unsure if he'll even return to the Minnesota Vikings in 2010, or if he's retire to his own business ventures such as payday loans no fax. On October 2010 he could be 41 years old and has won more games than any other starting quarterback in NFL history (181). Yet the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder says Brett Favre will likely be back for more (See resource below). The publication quotes an unnamed source as saying “I think he (Favre) doesn’t mind trying it again.”
Now whether Brittany Favre will "try it again," she probably should wait until Parker Brett isn't in diapers anymore. On the other hand, Brett Favre never shied away from adversity as a player. Possibly this will run in the family to her. Whatever Brett Favre’s daughter decides, it appears she has a loving family in her corner.
