Krystal Ball photographs named political dirty pool by candidate

To say that Virginia Democratic 1st Congressional District seat candidate Krystal Ball has “an image problem” may be an understatement, writes the Richmond Times-Dispatch. That’s because the Ball photographs that are making the rounds of the internet depict Ball as a really bad Santa that incumbent Republican opponent Robert Wittman can’t ignore. Wittman states his camp had nothing to do with releasing the pictures.

Photographs from Krystal Ball have Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

The Krystal Ball photos are actually about six years old. They show the prospect at a Halloween party with her then husband at the time. Ball’s husband has a small pet chain on him as he is dressed as a reindeer. Ball is wearing a Santa hat though. The real scandal is that you will find photos of Ball and a friend interacting with the nose on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which looks like a sex toy.

Wittman hopes the pictures will be taken down soon

Wittman has requested the Ball photographs be taken off a blog because he either doesn’t believe in dirty politics or he knows the damage is done already, accounts the Times-Dispatch. That hasn’t stopped Ball from taking matters into her own hands, nevertheless. She has released a YouTube video in which she lashes back at the release of the racy photos. Ball doesn’t deny being the Santa within the photos yet. She just claims she is embarrassed the pictures were released.

Krystal Ball upset

The reaction that Krystal Ball made on YouTube does not talk only about the pictures. She talks about essential issues being brought up in midterm elections. She claims that there needs to be repair of unemployment and budget deficits. She also said the school systems need help. Ball doesn’t end there. She fired right back at the “crass political operatives (who) will make use of the politics of personal destruction when they can’t talk about the issues.” She calls the revelation of the Krystal Ball photos to be “sexist and wrong.” She encourages all young women to have political aspirations before ending. This applies even to those who have done embarrassing things on tape.
