The missing link of cell phones has been found in Motorola’s brand new Droid Pro. With the operating system of a Droid, and also the form and function of a Blackberry, the Droid Pro is making waves. Specifically designed for companies, Droid Pro has been called the “killer” of RIM’s enterprise prominence.
Droid Pro functions
Motorola launched the Droid Pro. This was part of a six-phone rollout that was planned. A built-in keyboard and portrait-style layout make the phone look and feel much like a traditional Blackberry. 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and global roaming are included in the Android operating system. The Droid Pro is very business friendly. Part of this is due to the full enterprise support that it has. Multi-VPN network support, complex passwords and on-board encryption are all built to the machine.
Blackberry line intersected while using new Droid Pro
Security has been the only reason why companies and the govt have stuck with Blackberry. Encryption is almost unbreakable with Research in Motion. That is the Canadian company that makes the Blackberry devices. The Blackberry has never perished off due to that and its enterprise functions. RIM might just have to rethink things with the Droid Pro.
The Droid Pro may have a chance at beating the Blackberry?
Many say the Droid Pro is a “kill shot” because so most are already switching from Blackberry to Android devices. That will not happen probably. Even though the Droid Pro has built in security that businesses like and also has a powerful operating system, it may never match up. Blackberry is popular because of the RIM devices in it. Also, the Blackberry PlayBook is being released soon which should help while using competition.
