Kutcher takes over for Sheen on show

Ashton Kutcher has come from out of nowhere to win the race to replace Charlie Sheen in "Two and a Half Men." While Ashton Kutcher won’t be enjoying a Sheen-sized payday, reports indicate he could be making more than half of what Sheen was making. The ninth season of "Two and a Half Men" may return as a reboot around mid-season or as late as this fall.

No more Charlie Harper

Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones will return in their normal roles as Alan and Jake. Kutcher will be in "Two and a Half Men" living with Cryer and Jones' characters in the Malibu beach house, although he will not be replacing Sheen as Harper as some have guessed.

Late-comer Kutcher may have a lot of work

Numerous actors and at least one actress have been rumored to replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men,” including Rob Lowe (a friend of Sheen, whom he recommended), John Stamos, Matt Dillon, Jenny McCarthy and Hugh Grant. Due to "creative differences," Grant didn't get the part even though as of May 11, he had almost won it, reports the Huffington Post.

Kutcher used comments for instance "What’s the square root of 6.25? Two and a half," on Twitter to his 6.7 million enthusiasts after CBS and "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre decided on the deal with Kutcher. Lorre and "Two and a Half Men" producers look forward using Kutcher’s massive Twitter fan base to help promote the show.

Sheen involvement

No comment was made by Charlie Sheen yet. Nobody knows how he is taking the Kutcher hire. Charlie Sheen can be seen in "Entourage" soon, the Hollywood Reporter explains, after he finishes his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour and continues the "Sheen's Korner" video podcast. He has also expressed interest in getting his "Two and a Half Men" job back, saying that he is now willing to say sorry for his rants against the show and Chuck Lorre.
